Art galleries are not just about seeing.
They are about Experiencing, Feeling and being Immersed in a Narrative. Yet, most digital art platforms flatter this into mere visuals, reducing the sensory and emotional connection with art.
RESEARCH PHASE: LIVING WITH ART
Research Objective
/ To move beyond Usability & Efficiency and explore how users Emotionally, Cognitively, & Spatially engage with digital art experiences.
This project aims to understand the depth of user interactions by analyzing how individuals connect with art at a sensory and cognitive level, how spatial navigation impacts their engagement, and how these factors influence decision-making when exploring and booking art events.
Understanding User Needs
/ Conducted a User Study with 5 participants, aged 18-45, who actively attend or search for art events in cities.

Key Research Questions
/ How do users prefer to navigate virtual art exhibitions?
/ What challenges do users face while searching for specific thing?
/ Which features do users value most in an art gallery app?
/ How satisfied are users with the existing design & usability?
Competitive Analysis
/ Reviewed existing art gallery platforms like Nehru Center, Jehangir Art Gallery, and IF.Be Gallery to identify gaps in user engagement, accessibility, and personalization.
